I’ve complied a list of some Etsy options from the Victorian Era that may not be as tough as a diamond but have managed to withstand the test of time over the past 100 or so years. ┬áRemember, with the proper care, almost any ring can be suitable for everyday wear and tear. ┬áI think you will notice that I am partial to turquoise… click through the image for information on purchasing any of these heirlooms.

I chose a Victorian antique as my engagement ring. It’s an opal with rose gold circa 1860 so I know I can’t wear it every day because of its fragility, but it is absolutely stunning, I haven’t seen anything like it yet!
